Fake

Why do you pretend
To wanna be my friend
When you really don't
If you're really sick of me,
Don't be a fake.
I hate fakes
But I don't hate you,
I like you as more than a friend.

A Lost Friend

Did I really know you before you took your trip
We never talked at school before your life began to slip
and now you took your trip never to return
No tear came down my eye, but my heart could feel a burn.

Pluto's Imagination

Pluto, my pet dog, has a bright imagination
When he barks it's time for transformation
He has given me a new resolution
If I were you and you were me
There would be a lot of fun, I guarantee.
You would have gold hair, I'd have black.
I'd be sober, you'd be a jumping jack.
I'd have two legs, you'd have four
Imagine what wonders you will explore
It will give your life a glittering spark,
I'd sleep in your bed, when it is dark.
While you will stay awake all night and bark.

Life

Heed my words you little ones,
who would grow up way too soon.
Take your time to watch the sky,
stare up at the moon.
Take your time,
enjoy your life.

Never wish that you were older,
for old you will become.
For all your life, and all your fun
the total is not the sum.

You will see many things,
throughout your life's short years.
Sadness, joy, love and hate,
excitement, dreams and fears.

Listen closely all sweet children,
waste not your time alive.
Pretty soon you'll be old,
and for nothing you will strive.

Heed these words everyone,
with fierce intensity.
Life is far too short,
but death is an eternity.

Friends forever you and I
On each other we rely
Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry
But we never want to say goodbye!

Britney and Briann, ages 11 & 10, USA

Problems

Problems are just ways
to make a person face
the dangers and trials of life,
to make a person hardly strive
the holy family allowed this to happen
not to make us weep and stricken
but think of it this way
he just wants our life to be gay

Now pray as hard,
thank them for their glory
because there's nothing they will do
that can make our life hard and weary

Love or Hate!

I hate how I love you
I love how it hurts
I hate how you laugh at me when I'm doing my worst
I love you so much I don't know what to do

I hate how you break my heart everyday
I love the way you smile at me without a care
I hate how you hate when other boys stare
I love how you tell me when you're near me you'll always stay in my heart

There's something you should know
if I'm away from you longer than two days
I feel like my heart has split in half!

Love has drawn me to you
Hate has pulled us apart
I hope I'm good enough for you
because this roller coaster's about to start!

ShyAnn, age 10, USA

You're my best friend
I love you
I would never ever forget you
I want you to like me too

What a nice friend!
You never get me in trouble
You are fair
Playful
We like to study together
Play together
Eat ice cream together
So Sweet
So Smart

Genius boy
Cool person
I would kiss you
I love you because you're my best friend

I would forgive you
You're my best friend
My best friend forever

Lost

Binky, age 10

You broke my heart and put it into two. But why can't I just be over you?
You've hurt me time and time again. But when I'm finally done. You decide you want to be my friend.
Throughout the lies and all the tears I've cried. You would think that I just ask myself why?
Why put up with it, when you just let me down? Cause when I'm not down you don't make a sound.
After all that happened I thought we were friends. Cause you told me we would be friends till the end.
I was over that you cheated, and I was willing to be friends. But I guess that all just came to an end.
But when I don't talk or look your way you sit to yourself and think well hey. Why isn't she mad and not sad anymore?
So then you come around saying sorry to me. But one day you're going to see how sorry you'll be.
I hated you so much, but when I think about it again. Why can't it just go back to when we were best friends.
I could tell you everything and nothing was a lie.
But I guess I just had to kiss everything.
Good-Bye

Maggie, age 13, USA

Just sitting there staring,
looking at the unknown,
he looks and tells his life too,
the person on the phone,
wondering about him,
I crept closer to get a look,
he turned around and hit the ground,
and threw at me a book,
it seems he heard me,
and didn't want me to find out,
that he, the person I trusted,
had a really big doubt,
I was going to die the very next day,
but I would never believe a word,
he would ever say,
But he was right I died that night,
from the unknown,
my life would never show.

Unknown

I am unknown,
Nor my life is shown,
but I'm still alive,
It makes me want to thrive,
but I stay still,
when I want to kill,
the person who insults me,
I want to be free,
everyone else is just like me,
but they just don't understand,
I live in the unknown,
my life is never shown,
nor my age and my background,
have faded away,
they come and go,
but nothing I ever do,
will make them stay,
I am unknown,
my life is not shown,
and I never lived.

A Wonderful Girl Named Stephanie!

There once was a girl named Stephanie
She had a dog named Teffanie
She walked around town
With a small, funny clown
Who made a lot of sounds
She loved to recycle boxes
To make a home for lost foxes
She met two teams that had in their name, Something, um, Soxes
The dog named Teffanie
Loved the wonderful girl named Stephanie!
